Tensile strength, compressive strength, shear strength, Bond strength

# Tensile strength
Tensile strength in the concrete is low because of brittle nature. Due to low tensile strength in the concrete may reason of cracks. So it most have necessary to determine the tensile of  concrete. Actually in the comprision of compressive strength, tensile strength is negligible.
   Tensile strength = 0.35 (fck)^0.5
Where, fck is the characteristics of compressive strength.
# Compressive strength

Concrete's strength may measure in terms of compressive strength. It have more compressive strengh. It measure in terms of compressive strength because it is easy to measure, it primarly resist compressive strength, compressive strength can be related with many properties such as elastic modulus, modulus of rapture, impermeability, fire resistances etc.
# Shear strength:
Shear stress occurs due to combination of tensile and compressive and tensie streses or due to torsion may be. Shear srength is 12 % of compressive strength.
# Bond strength
Higher the grade of cement have higher bond strength.
